The Life & Literary Journey of Peter Longley
Peter Longley is an English author and theologian whose work bridges history, faith, and storytelling. With a master’s degree in theology from Cambridge University, his writing reflects a lifelong engagement with religious thought, cultural change, and the turning points of history. From first-century Judea to twentieth-century Europe, his novels explore how political upheaval and personal belief shape individual lives.
Before dedicating himself fully to writing, Peter spent twenty-five years as a cruise director aboard some of the world’s most iconic ships, including Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2. His experiences across continents deeply influenced his perspective on humanity, identity, and tradition—elements that continue to shape both his historical fiction and his memoirs.
History is not merely a record of events—it is the story of people, their faith, their struggles, and the choices that define them.
